Adult Basketball
With the continuing need to limit social and physical contact because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020-2021 Adult Municipal Basketball season until January. We will re-evaluate the ability to hold the program before the end of the year. For more information, contact Recreation Director Pam Carroll at pcarroll@cityoflaportein.gov.
Our Adult Basketball program, also known as the Municipal Basketball League, normally runs from November through March, with a 12-game regular season followed by a division tournament. We offer a Sunday competitive league and a Tuesday competitive league. Games are played at the Civic Auditorium, with some Sunday games played at the La Porte High School field house. The deadline to enter the men's Sunday and Tuesday leagues will be determined when a decision is made regarding the 2021 season. A shortened season will be what is planned if this program moves forward in 2021. A mandatory manager's meeting for the Sunday and Tuesday league teams will be scheduled prior to the season in the lower level of the Civic Auditorium (enter through the door at the end of the ramp on Plain Street).
